That was not it, as after coming back from Rio, Sindhu won the China Open which was also her first ever Super Series victory. Then she played at the Hong Kong Open and reached semis but lost in the finals against Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying.
Her coach, Pullela Gopichand and her parents, former volleyball players, P.V. Ramana and P. Vijaya have been there to support her at every step of the way. She believes it is their sacrifice that has gotten her to this podium of victory especially in reference to her win at the Olympics.
