Upasana Kamineni Konidela enthralled the audience with her poise, eloquence, and clever humour in a keynote fireside chat at SheThePeople’s Digital Women Awards 2024 in Hyderabad. “I asked ChatGPT how my dog can generate enough money through endorsements so she can fund charities. And tada! I got a whole process of how to achieve it, and they are working for me now; Rhyme has a movie offer!” she exclaimed as a witty example of the doors that the digital world has opened today.
Upasana dons many hats – Vice President CSR of Apollo Hospitals, entrepreneur, philanthropist, media personality, content creator, mother, etc. As she seamlessly navigates these diverse roles, she leverages technology to upskill, seize opportunities, and create an impact in various domains.
Embracing The Digital
Upasana is a dynamic businesswoman in the wellness industry, where she is introducing various tech advancements and innovative tools. She is the founder of URLife, an online platform that produces certified expert-backed content about holistic healthy living, fitness, nutrition, lifestyle hacks, etc.
Speaking to SheThePeople, Upasana expressed, “I have a plethora of learning as a third-generation entrepreneur; But with evolving times, and to be more relevant to all of you out there and to myself, I of course have to [bring] some change. I have my purpose in place and clarity of my goal, so that drives me to achieve what I need to.”
Upasana’s journey to success is marked by boldly taking on challenges and embracing new ideas. During her engaging conversation at the 10th Digital Women Awards, she shared how she uses artificial intelligence and social media to constantly learn, adapt, and grow in today’s fast-paced world.
“I make sure that at least 10% of my time through the year is spent learning. I either enrol in online courses or a college... Secondly, social media teaches me so much about upskilling – I know how to wrap Christmas gifts better, or how to parent my child better. These are things that technology does for us,” she said.
Why Women Must Stop Fearing AI
Upasana urged women to utilise the power of digital and take control of their careers and economic independence. “I use AI now to create my goals,” she confessed. “I put my big goal in ChatGPT, give it a timeline, and search, ‘How do I achieve this?’ and it gives me an answer. It’s working wonders for me!”
She also shared how embracing technology can help women take charge of their well-being. “My purpose is to keep people away from hospitals because nobody wants you to get sick. The right information, [resources], and teaching them what to use– everything is on the gadget in their hand right now. They just need to use it correctly.”
One saying that keeps Upasana driven each day is “I’m bold and I can do it!” aptly exemplifying her confident approach to life. Successfully navigating the intersection of technology, healthcare, and empowerment, she has found the formula to achieve success with innovation and purpose.
At the Digital Women Awards, she opened a timely conversation about learning, self-improvement, and embracing evolution as essential components of success. Her story is a powerful reminder that women, armed with the right mindset and tools, have the potential to achieve remarkable things.
