Welcome to the tenth edition of the Digital Women Awards and Summit. Established in 2015 with a vision of celebrating and recognising entrepreneurs, SheThePeople, in partnership with T-Hub and WE Hub, brings to the forefront women who are leveraging innovation to build ideas on the internet.
Both T-Hub and WE Hub are the Telangana Government's initiatives to promote entrepreneurship in the state by providing national and international startups access to superior technology, talent, mentors, customers, corporates, investors, and government agencies, among other innovation ecosystem stakeholders.
SheThePeople Digital Women Awards are focused on encouraging an integral medium that nurtures collaborations, partnerships, and mentorship opportunities. As we approach the awards' tenth edition this year, here’s everything you must know about the revolution that DWA has become over the years. This year, we're going to Hyderabad with our agenda to celebrate and discover more women entrepreneurs to spearhead.
10 Years Of Digital Revolution For Women In India
In the tenth edition of the Digital Women Awards, we put the spotlight on the sisterhood economy and how women can be the game-changers India needs for talent, workforce and transformative growth. With a young and dynamic population, India’s GDP growth rate has consistently outpaced other major economies, positioning the country as a key player on the global stage.
But what is next? And just how do we get there? Key sectors such as information technology, finance, health and manufacturing are banking on women to drive growth, bolstered by the rapid adoption of digital technologies, improved skilling and a focused government approach to women’s issues. The theme for Digital Women Awards' tenth edition is #TogetherWeThrive. This seeks to bring all stakeholders together to put in place a new directive on how women can make in India and change the course of the country’s growth story.
Together We Thrive mirrors the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders that propel change together. This edition will foster collaborations, partnerships and mentorship opportunities, providing resources and support to empower women entrepreneurs nationwide. The awards' categories include E-commerce, Impact, Solopreneur, AI & Disruption, Marketing, Content Creator, and Leadership.
From Salem to Siliguri, Bathinda to Bangalore, these awards are diverse and bring entrepreneurs across big and small cities to one forum to interact and connect over shared problems and successes.
According to a report by the McKinsey Global Institute, it was found that advancing women's equality in the economy could add $12 trillion to the global economy by 2025. In a best-case scenario, that number could jump to $28 trillion.
Our past winners include pastry chef and entrepreneur Pooja Dhingra, Nykaa's founder Falguni Nayar, Founder and Creative Director at Heads Up For Tails, Co-founder of Mamaearth and The Derma Co Ghazal Alagh, and Pilot and Digital Creator Ritu Rathee Taneja, among several others.
Our focus is on the growth and success of women using the internet and impacting their own lives so they become financially independent and self-reliant in more ways than one. At SheThePeople, the aim is to provide a platform to meet, engage and build skills and networks for women to reach their goals.
