Known for its sustainable and handcrafted home and garden decor, the venture is working a step forward in the world of art and design. In an interview with SheThePeople, Fatema Khuzema talks about her work in design, how she blends artistry with environmental consciousness to create products, enhancing business in the digital realm, and why sustainable solutions are the way forward.

A Journey Of Exploration And Learning

For Fatema, her venture is more than just a business; it's a journey of self-discovery and the pursuit of a better life for her family. She began by creating a unique identity for herself and crafting products she couldn't find elsewhere. "The main reason I would say is the hunger to provide a better living for my family."

What sets her venture apart is their commitment to using locally sourced materials and crafting each product by hand. Starting with a simple Facebook, Fatema's journey expanded through Instagram. Through these platforms, she has witnessed a steady increase in followers and business. Fatema emphasises that social media allows her to find her tribe—people who value her work and connect with her on a personal level.

My entrepreneurial journey began with a humble investment of ₹6,000 in a workshop, a significant amount at the time. Slowly and steadily, I saved and reinvested earnings into the business. Our achievement today is being self-sufficient and debt-free. It has not only weathered challenges like COVID-related lockdowns but also witnessed organic growth with an expanding base of loyal customers.

For Fatema, Google Pay is the go-to tool that is indispensable for running a business in today's digital age. It simplifies transactions and ensures a smooth financial flow. She explains, "Google Pay is something that has equally contributed to her business by making her journey and transactions easy."

Future Plans And Goals

In the short term, her venture aims to scale up its business in terms of profitability. In the long term, the vision is to expand the team and create employment opportunities for deserving individuals. This plan aims to benefit both the employees and the company, fostering growth and success.

This interview is in partnership with Google.
