A new dating trend has gone viral, sparking debates on sexism and misogyny. Female creators are taking over the hashtag #WomenInMaleFields, posting videos that flip the script with clever role reversals. These videos highlight problematic behaviours often exhibited by men, imagining how the tables would turn if women mirrored the same actions as men. This trend highlights issues like infidelity, problematic in-laws, eve-teasing, and harassment a woman faces. Instead of being supportive as a partner, men often end up justifying these situations.

The role reversal aims to highlight the toxicity a woman often faces in a relationship. This trend is getting viral with many women lauding the sarcasm shown. However, men are subsequently getting 'offended' by these role reversals.

#WomenInMaleFields Gaining Momentum...

Users are sharing their reels with #WomenInMaleFields on Instagram.

A user shares a reel hilariously captioning it as, "When an educated, career-driven man shows his daily routine so I comment 'these things don't matter because you don't have a woman.' In a post that has nothing to do with relationship status."

In the above reel, the user sneakily highlights the struggles faced by successful, career-oriented women. Often, they are mocked for their professional achievements or, even worse, subjected to baseless accusations—such as having a man behind their success. Even now, many women face workplace inequality. They are subjected to many forms of discrimination and lack of opportunities.

Another user shared a reel captioning, "When he tells me he's a single dad, and I responded with 'must be a nice monthly child support check'...."

Divorces and separations are undoubtedly painful for both parties. In cases where children are involved, custody often defaults to the mother, leaving her to navigate the challenges of raising children while dealing with emotional trauma. To make matters worse, divorced women frequently face societal ridicule, with many being unfairly judged or criticized for receiving alimony.

While this trend continues to gain popularity, it also serves as a powerful wake-up call for men. By subtly highlighting absurd male behaviour in certain situations, it emphasizes the need for equality and respect for women.
