Viral Video: Teacher Retires After 50 Years, Staff And Students Gather To See Her Off

A heartwarming video of a teacher retiring after 50 years of service has gone viral on social media. The People rejoice on this day and co-workers honour them for hard work. The video was shared by her daughter 'Katherine' on Instagram.

According to the post, the woman was teaching at a high school. She was just 22 when she began her teaching career which lasted for 50 years.

"Today was her last day. The entire school sent her off as she left the building one last time," Katherine said in the post.

A lot of people have commented on the video.  "Wholesome teacher content. Congrats on retirement, mom," reads the caption of the video.

This is not the first time when a teacher's video has gone viral for his/her dedication towards their job. Some time ago, the video of Priye Kumar Gaurav from Alwar in Rajasthan went viral on social media. He is a famous coaching teacher known for his YouTube-based classes on current affairs. Why did his video go viral? Well, he was teaching on wedding day also as he didn’t want his students to suffer because of his absence.

The dedication he has for his job can be gauged by the fact that he finished other wedding functions and then again went back to preparing for the class on Current Affairs for the next day.

Nirmal, one of the authorities of the coaching institute, said in an interview that he is so passionate about teaching that he did not wish to miss any single class and would take lectures on the wedding day as well. Teachers are usually given an off for 4 - 5 days but he didn't take them.
