Viral Video: Actor Sagarika Shona Suman Alleges Raj Kundra Asked Her For Nude Audition

An undated video of actor and model Sagarika Shona Suman alleging businessman Raj Kundra offered her a role in a web series and asked her for a nude audition is doing rounds online after the latter's arrest in a case related to the production of pornographic content.

In the ">video, Suman is seen interacting with the press purportedly in the days following the Mumbai Police's bust of a porn racket in Madh Island in February this year. Television actor Gehana Vasisth was arrested in the same case with multiple other persons for allegedly shooting, circulating and monetising on 'obscene' videos.

"Gehana Vasisth and Raj Kundra's names have emerged in the racket... Something like this has happened with me. I was offered the chance of nude audition on video call," Suman says in the video. She names Kundra and Umesh Kamat, an ex-associate of the former, as the perpetrators.

Kamat was one among the arrests made in connection to the porn racket in February. He reportedly occupied a top role at a UK company named behind the porn content and had links to Kundra.

"There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps," the Mumbai Police Commissioner said following Kundra's arrest on Monday night, adding the businessman appears to be a "key conspirator" in the case.

A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act. Kundra was on Tuesday sent to police custody till July 23. Follow the case here.

Actors Poonam Pandey and Sherlyn Chopra, as per reports, are also named in the soft porn cases with both alleging it was Kundra who brought them into the adult film industry. The two have previously recorded their statements with the police in the case.

Following Kundra's arrest, Pandey made a statement saying she had registered a complaint against Kundra in 2019 for "fraud and theft... This matter is sub judice, hence I would prefer to limit my statements."

Vasisth meanwhile, who is out on bail in the porn racket case, issued a statement via her publicist on Tuesday, saying, "there are many more skeletons in the cupboards of the rich and famous" the police should probe.

Suman later went on to allege that she has been receiving threatening and abusive calls and messages after she went public with her allegations against Raj Kundra. In a fresh video, Suman alleged, "I am disturbed and depressed because I am getting calls on different online platforms. They are threatening me. I am getting threats of death and rape." Suman also said that people are calling her from different numbers and enquiring about Raj Kundra and his case. She further said that people have been accusing her of shutting down their business. "They even said that you people watch porn films that's why we are making it," she added.
