Viral Video: 83-Year-Old Woman Wins Gold At Carrom Tournament

The conventional way of thinking believes there is a set life span for every remarkable moment, or achieving things as per the age schedule. Age is just a number, women are defying this notion every now and then. This woman from Pune is doing it too. The 83-year-old woman clinched gold at the carrom tournament organised in the locality.

In a post shared by a man on Twitter uploaded a video of her grandmother winning the told. Netizens were inspired by her accomplishments in the game of carrom after her grandson Akshay Marathe posted a tweet. In the video, she has seen perfectly striking shots during a match against a much younger woman in a tournament. He captioned, "Inspired by my 83-year-old Aaji who won Gold in the Doubles and Bronze in the singles in Pune's All-Magarpatta City carrom tournament against much younger and steadier hands."

Marathe in another post posted pictures from the practice game. He shared two pictures of himself and his friends playing the carrom with his Aaji. He quirkily took credit for her victory. He noted, ''We can take some credit for practicing with her although @abhijeet_dipke and I got destroyed by Aaji, despite being paired with @PulkitS."

The post and the video attracted congratulatory messages for the elderly woman in form of love and heart emojis.

A user commented, "Love to Aaji, she is an inspiration." Another called it, "Mind-blowing. Fantastic. Superb." A third said, '' Very good & inspiring, big congratulations.''

A user called it an inspiration for all elderly people, he said, "Aaji ji rocks inspiration to all dadi jis of the nation. Age is just a factor... Dadi ji ne prove kar diya."
