Meet The Konkan Kanya Members

The band, which specializes in multi-genre, multi-lingual, and semi-classical music, consists of six women. Veda Nerurkar, one of the prominent members, is a celebrated singer known for being the runner-up on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi Li'l Champs and a finalist on Zee TV Li'l Champs and contestant on The Voice India Season 2

Another key member is Arundhati, whose contributions to the band's music are invaluable. Jui Bhagwat, another talented singer in the band, has lent her voice to Marathi cinema, including the film Gulkand, starring Prasad Oak and Sai Tamhankar. Madhura Paranjape and Sanchita Pradhan also add their unique voices to the group, enhancing its diverse musical repertoire. The band is rounded out by their music composer and arranger, Raviraj Vijay Koltharkar, who also serves as the director of Konkan Kanya Band.

The band's ability to breathe new life into classic songs and their creative approach to music has set them apart in the industry. They also got featured in the reality show, Rising Star and the widespread acclaim they have received for their online content is a testament to their talent.

Recently, the band uploaded a recreation of the song Azadi from Netflix's Heeramandi, originally composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with lyrics by A. M. Turaz. The original singers of the song include Barnali Chattopadhyay, Archana Gore, Pragati Joshi, Aditi Prabhudesai, Arohi, Aditi Paul, Tarannum Malik Jain, Dipti Rege, and Madhura Pranjape. In their recreation, the vocals of the six singers in Konkan Kanya Band, arranged and programmed by Koltharkar, impressed netizens, garnering almost 300,000 views.

However, the band's most viral recreation from this year is their rendition of O Mere Sona Re, which has amassed nearly 2 million views. The vocal arrangements and programming for this piece were also done by Koltharkar. The recreation received praise from netizens and professional singers alike. Sushant Divgikar, who has provided vocals for the film Thank You For Coming and the series 36 Days, commented, "This is just too good."
