Reeti Sahai's Advice For Women
The 40 Over 40 Awards event on July 11 saw a spirited turnout of inspiring women, each showcasing their unique journeys and accomplishments. One such standout was fitness content creator Reeti Sahai, who conveyed her appreciation for being in such an uplifting environment.
"It's an absolute honour to be among such lovely, powerful, inspiring, and gorgeous women," she said, thanking Shaili Chopra, founder of SheThePeople and Gytree. Sharing some words of wisdom for women, Sahai asserted, "Just do you! Do not change anything in yourselves."
Speaking of her experience with challenges and self-discipline, Sahai recalled, "We all love our comfort zones; I loved it too, I love it even today. There are days when I don't want to wake up and lace up at 4 a.m., but when I ask myself my 'Why', I am quickly out the door, running."
"Step out of that comfort zone," she asserted. "Take that risk, and growth lies just there." Sahai also spoke about the power of sisterhood and encouragement among women, sharing how supportive connections can bring a colossal transformation in reaching each other's goals.
"[We must] foster a culture of mentorship, share stories, and rewrite your stories. There are certain imposing societal beliefs that we are aware of, read somewhere, or are brought up with. So you must rewrite stories in the fields you are passionate about," Sahai fervently expressed.
Accepting her 40 Over 40 Award, Sahai shared, "You must follow your passions, follow your heart, follow your dreams, and I'm certain that you will go out there, create an impact, and be happier." She further added, "We all have naysayers. Take them in your stride. Let them help you grow."
