Many of us might have seen kids trying to eat a soap bar, but have you ever seen an adult take a bite of a soap? A bizarre video surfaced on Instagram featuring a woman eating a bar of soap. She seems to enjoy the taste of the "soap,” but is it really soap? Well, one needs to watch the complete video to know the truth.

Baker Suchi Dutta shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “I love eating soap. The video shows Dutta standing in front of the camera with a soap bar in one hand and a handwash liquid in another. A text insert read, “Which one tastes better?”

As the video goes on, another layover text reads, “I love soap.” Dutta is seen taking the soap bar in her hand and grabbing a bite of it. The woman nods in appreciation of the taste.

The truth is revealed in the end, when she cuts the "soap,” which turns out to be a hyper-realistic cake. Another text insert reads, “Because mine is a cake and the cake is chocolate.”

The bizarre post was shared on September 4 and has garnered over 2.8 million views. Several netizens flooded the comment section, and some didn’t even wait till the end of the video.

One netizen said they genuinely thought this was the weird side of Instagram. Another user, who probably didn’t watch the entire video, commented that this was very harmful to her body. A third user jotted down the quote "Don't judge a book by its cover" and urged the viewers not to skip the video and watch it fully. A fourth user joked that instructions were unclear and they were “burping bubbles.”

Responding to the comments, Dutta wrote in the comment section, “Love how so many people thought I ate soap.”
