How Giving Love A Second Chance Brought Happiness To Diya's Life

"I got married in 2006 when I was 21, and my family was totally against my decision. The person I married was an orphan. It was my first ever relationship, and I was a tomboy, so I never had a relationship before. He was 22 and I was 21; everything was going well until I understood that we were like two poles apart, and I realised that he never had any respect for me, not even as a human. In 2008, when I had my son, I thought that my son would be the reason my ex-husband and I would come closer, but it didn't happen.

We never really fought physically or verbally; he just started ignoring me. That's when I realised that we had no connection at all.

It was 2017, and my son was 10 years old when he took him away from me to Darjeeling, and I had to go to the police station. I had no idea where my son was. I had a call with my ex-husband, and he refused to tell me where my son was. I took help from the police, and that's when he brought my son back to Kolkata. After this incident, it was clear that I couldn't continue this relationship anymore.

One day he just came and said that he wanted a divorce, and we moved forward with our mutual divorce, which took a year to process in 2018. I met someone in 2019 and started dating, but I realised that he was really possessive and had to leave him as he was just another person like my ex-husband.

I got to know from my son that my ex-husband got married in 2021 when I was suffering from COVID-19. I was completely in shock when I heard that news. I was feeling that I wasn't good enough. The whole situation was very difficult for my son. He loves his father, but then he couldn't forgive him as he saw me crying day and night.

It was 2022 when I met Vinamra on Facebook; he's 3.5 years younger than me. We started talking, and gradually we liked each other's company. Because of him, I started trusting people again. He made me believe again in love. When I introduced him to my son, they both bonded instantly over football and music. For some reason, he had that aura that he was good with kids, and he never told me not to do that.

He proposed to me in November 2022, and we are finally getting married in November after 3.5 years of dating."
