Rebecca Olugbemi was filming a makeup video tutorial for her social media followers when she heard the sound of multiple gunshots outside her home - approximately 10 gunshots in total. NBC Washington Reporter Aimee Cho posted the video to X. The video shows Rebecca as she pauses what she's doing suddenly and her eyes widen as soon as she hears the gunshots.

Here's What Rebecca Discovered

In the video, she puts down the skincare product she was holding and agitatedly switches off the camera.

Soon after, she discovered that her brother had been killed in the crossfire that occurred outside their Odenton home around 9.45 on Monday. Isaiah was declared dead by the police after being taken to the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, according to NBC Washington.

The police arrested Nicholas Giroux, 36, who is Isaiah's neighbour, on account of both first and second-degree murder. The family claimed that he had confronted Isaiah before. He would face a life sentence in prison if he is found guilty. The police are investigating the incident, and trying to discover a motive or previous relationships between Giroux and Isaiah. Giroux is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on Thursday morning.

Rebecca told the publication, "I don't know what justice would look like, honestly. I don't know if there's anything that could be done that would make it any better."
