Born in 2004 in Soborg, Gribskov, in Denmark’s Capital Region, Theilvig grew up in Copenhagen. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing, which she used to venture into entrepreneurship. Besides being a successful entrepreneur, Theilvig is also a professional dancer. Known for her passion for advocacy, she regularly speaks up for mental health support and animal rights. Currently, she is aiming to become a lawyer.
Victoria Kjaer Theilvig was previously crowned Miss Denmark and gained global attention in 2022 when she reached the Top 20 in the Miss Grand International competition. Her striking resemblance to the iconic doll earned her the nickname ‘Human Barbie.’ Earlier this year, in September, she secured the title of Miss Universe Denmark 2024, paving the way for her appearance in the global competition.
In the decisive final round, Theilvig was asked about the most important quality a Miss Universe should have. She answered, “A Miss Universe must be a symbol of empathy and action. She must listen to the world’s challenges and use her platform to create tangible change. This means advocating for the voiceless, whether they are animals or people who need a champion."
Her thoughtful response was met with enthusiastic applause and cheers from the audience. She received the crown from Miss Universe 2023, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua. Theilvig was visibly emotional as she wore the crown and stood on stage, taking in the moment of her victory.
