Who Is Miranda Wilson? Beautician "Improves" Natalia Dyer's Face In TikTok

TikTok beautician Miranda Wilson faces flak for her viral TikTok where she listed the cosmetic procedures she would perform on Stranger Things star Natalia Dyer.

Miranda Wilson posted a video where she described how she would “improve” Natalia Dyer’s face. After being criticised on social media for her TikTok, she deleted the video. However, the video also went viral on Twitter and has more than 12 million views.

Wilson posted another TikTok and clarified that “I was not suggesting that Natalia needed any of that work it was just an example”. She said that it was not her intention to come across as mean or rude.

Who Is Miranda Wilson?

• Miranda Wilson is a beautician on TikTok, a nurse practitioner injector based in Laguna Beach, California. She has posted several TikToks about her procedures with Botox and fillers.
• In her Instagram biography, Wilson described herself as a certified aesthetician. She has posted several videos promoting plastic surgery for “improving” people’s looks. In one video, she made a TikTok about why people should get Botox when they’re in their twenties.
• Her posts have been criticised for promoting plastic surgery and for speaking about how she would change a person’s face without their consent.
• In the now-deleted video, Wilson gave her suggestions about which treatments Dyer could undergo to “improve” her face. She said she would first treat the masseters, which are muscles around the jaw as it helps slim faces.
• Wilson added that using chin fillers could make Dyer’s face look more heart-shaped and mentioned treatments such as Botox and collagen.
• She ended the TikTok by comparing Dyer’s face to an image of her that was edited according to the suggested plastic surgery treatments. Wilson said, “As you can tell, her jaw is slimmer. Her chin is more pointy, and her eyebrows are lifted.”
• Following the criticism, she deleted the TikTok and posted another TikTok where she clarified that she did not attempt to be rude. Wilson said, “Natalia is absolutely stunning the way she is… that’s why she’s so successful. Her photo was simply an example.”
