Two years ago, Palmer opened up on social media about her struggles with the polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Earlier this month, Palmer announced that she was pregnant, which inspired others to share their experiences with PCOS and infertility as a result of PCOS on social media.

In December 2020, the actor shared an unfiltered selfie of herself and revealed the acne and scars caused by PCOS. She wrote in the caption, "The least harmful thing PCOS can bring is acne".
On December 3, 2022, Palmer announced her pregnancy while hosting Saturday Night Live. She said during her monologue, "There's some rumours going around. People have been in my comments saying, 'Keke's having a baby, Keke's pregnant.' And I want to set the record straight- I am!"
Palmer then opened her oversized coat to reveal her pregnant belly.
