Conservative political advisor Alyssa Farah Griffin is rumoured to be the new co-host for the talk show The View created by journalist Barbara Walters. If Griffin is the new co-host, she will join Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin for the show’s 26th season.
The View has not officially announced that Alyssa Farah Griffin will become the talk show’s 23rd co-host. It was revealed on social media that the newest co-host would be announced on Thursday on the show.
The View features a panel of female co-hosts that discuss “Hot Topics” and conduct interviews. The creator Barbara Walters came up with the idea of The View, a talk show featuring four or five women with “different backgrounds, different generations, and different opinions”, who would discuss the daily topics and add humour to the intelligent debate.
The original panel of co-hosts consisted of Walters, journalist Meredith Vieira, television host Debbie Matenopoulos, lawyer Star Jones, and comedian Joy Behar. In 25 years of being on air, the talk show has had 22 co-hosts till now. If Griffin replaces the previous co-host Meghan McCain, she will become the 23rd co-host.

- Alyssa Farah Griffin is a conservative political advisor who served during the Donald Trump administration. During the administration, she was the White House Director of Strategic Communication and the Assistant to the President.
- Griffin is the daughter of two journalists, her father is Joseph Farah, founder of the far-right conspiracy website WorldNetDaily. Her mother Judy Farah has worked at the Associated Press, HuffPost, and Comstock's.
- She followed in their footsteps and has a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Policy from Patrick Henry College.
- Griffin also served as the press secretary for former United States Vice President Mike Pence and Special Assistant to former President Trump.
- She resigned from the White House in December 2020 and publically condemned the United States Capitol attack. Griffin blamed Trump for the attack and said he should resign.
- After The View's co-host, the conservative Meghan McCain left the show, Griffin made multiple guest appearances on the show. If Griffin is the talk show's newest co-host, she will be replacing McCain.
- As a guest co-host on The View, Griffin revealed that family members boycotted her wedding after she publicly denounced Trump. Her father and stepmother did not attend her wedding to Justin Griffin.
