A hospital in Virginia, United States, is soon going to see a boom of babies all at once. You'd say what's new with hospitals having babies? Well, the catch is that it's a dozen employees at the NICU unit who are all pregnant at once.
A dozen women who work at the Neonatal Care Unit Riverside Regional Medical Center in Virginia, United States, are all pregnant at once. While two gave birth recently, some are going to welcome babies this year. Of the twelve, five are going to be first-time mothers.
US NICU Women Pregnant At Once
The TODAY shared this heartwarming story recently as it interviewed the involved persons and found out more about the exciting phase that the medical centre and its employees are going through together. A spokesperson from the medical centre shared how this is the first time they have seen the most number of pregnant women at the unit in a year.
Two employees gave birth in March and May respectively with both having a baby girl each While four employees are set to deliver in July, three are welcoming babies in August, and the other three in September, October and November respectively.
The total kids include six girls, three boys and three kids whose sex is currently unknown to the mons.
A 35-week-pregnant Haley Bradshaw told TODAY that the support they all seek and get from each other is inspiring and that their having each other's backs is what keeps them together in this journey.
36-week-far along Jackie Cox is pregnant with her fifth child and is as excited as she could get. She explained how this has deepened their bond, brought them closer and made them more understanding of each other's issues.
There are currently 52 nurses employed at the said NICU.
