While it's highly likely that the two main stars, Alexandra Breckenridge as Mel Monroe and Martin Henderson as Jack Sheridan, will return, joining the cast this season are Jessica Rothe and Callum Kerr, who will portray a young Sarah and Everett—Mel’s parents. While John Allen Nelson plays the present-day Everett, Kerr will take on the character’s younger version, bringing depth to Mel's backstory.

The upcoming season of Virgin River promises to bring excitement as it leads up to the much-anticipated wedding of Mel and Jack. 

In season five, Brie ended her relationship with Brady after he lied about just how much he knew about the underground drugs ring. She later found love with Mike Valenzuela (Marco Grazzini) while Brady moved on with Lark (Elise Gatien).

Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith shared insights noting, “We’re trying to hit all the milestones of the pre-wedding planning, the bachelor and bachelorette parties, and the rehearsal dinner.” Fans can also expect scenes featuring dress shopping, suit fittings, and unexpected twists that add drama to the couple’s journey.

The new season picks up a few months after season five's festive episodes, with Mel and Jack gearing up for their wedding while continuing on their path to parenthood.
