As wedding budgets skyrocket, one bride-to-be's efforts to save on her wedding dress has gone viral. After trying on multiple $2000 dresses in a bridal store, Madi Hannah, from Dallas, Texas, decided to  order her gown online and documented her ordeal on Tiktok. Madi wanted to stray away for the outrageously high price tag that usually comes a white gown, and decided to order a pink $200 wedding gown online without ever seeing it in real life.

The budget-savvy bride decided to go this route, purchased her dress and was excited to share her gown with her followers but received a mixed reaction from viewers.

In the video, which racked up over 26.5 million views, the bride showed herself opening the package her wedding dress arrived in, which resembled the shape of a basketball and was held together by an entire roll of tape.

“That’s what you get for ordering an online dress for your wedding,” Madi shares.

Madi picks baby scissors to make the process easier and carefully wraps the package. She pulls out the blue and pink dress and unveils her unique gown to the followers. When users saw the pink fabric they thought Madi had been delivered the wrong item, but in multiple follow up videos the bride revealed it was exactly what she wanted.

“It’s exactly what I hoped for… I’m glad I trusted the process,” she says alongside footage in the dress, adding that she was “showing TikTok before my own family”.

However, many were unhappy with choice and compared her to Little Bo Peep, a bed comforter and even a Christmas ham!

'It's giving Mary Poppins and cotton candy,' said one user. Another user questioned: 'Grandma's curtains?'

This did not bring Madi down who continued to look at the positive comments and noticed the funny side of the trolling

“I love all the positive and funny things mentioned! I’m super happy and no one can change my mind about that. So excited for the big day,” she gleefully says in a follow-up video.

“I thought I wanted a white dress since I was a little girl, I thought I wanted the cookie cutter cliché, white dream wedding,” she adds.

“I loved the white but deep down I knew I was too colorful of a spirit for that. So I went with my gut and purchased a pink and blue custom-made dress online. Don’t let people discourage you from something that makes you happy.”
