Emergency landings are hectic as pilots have their as well as other's lives at stake and they have to take appropriate actions while staying calm. Young pilots often get extremely nervous in such situations and tend to panic. One such young pilot named Taylor Hash was stuck mid-air during her flight when she was told by the control tower that an important part of her landing gear had fallen off mid-air and she had to make an emergency landing. Thankfully, veteran pilot Chris Yates, who was flying nearby, saw the gear falling and connected over with Hash to guide her through the emergency landing. Their conversation is going viral on the internet.

Veteran Pilot Helps Young Pilot In Emergency Landing
21-year-old Hash was on her third solo flight when she lost the front tire of her aircraft and had to make an emergency landing at a Pontiac airport in Michigan. She was scared but Yates' voice over the radio and his words calmed her down. Yates, who has a daughter named Taylor, could be heard calling Hash kiddo in the viral video and assuring her multiple times that she can do this and has got nothing to fear. He tells her that she has the same name as his daughter who he taught flying and Hash seems to relax a bit by his assuring words. He says, "We're gonna be just fine kiddo." He then asks her, "You gonna be a career pilot?" to which she replied that she was planning on it. He replies, "This is a good start. This is a story to your legacy, kid."
He asked her to circle the field to calm her nerves and prepare for the landing. When she landed safely, Yates said over the radio, "Atta kid, nice job. There she comes, the nose is gonna come down. You're okay, you're okay, you're okay. Talk to me, kid." Hash replies, "I am good, I am all good" to which he quips, "Atta girl, I'm proud of you."
Yates later said in an interview that he got emotional knowing that her name was Taylor and he could sense that she was scared. Hash revealed that Yates' words and reaction really helped her calm down and manage the emergency landing.
