US Teacher Held For Having Sex With Student Whose Dad 'Allowed' It

A high school math teacher in the state of Missouri, US has been arrested under rape charges for having a sexual relationship with one of her 16-year-old students. In contrast, the student's father was also booked for condoning the sexual relationship of his son with his math teacher. 

The case came to light when one of the survivor student's friends and a witness of the disturbing relationship contacted the school authorities revealing how the math teacher kept other students for "lookouts" while having sex with the minor during school hours.

Teacher Booked For Rape Charges 

The accused Hailey Nichelle Clifton-Carmack was a math teacher who worked at Laquey High School for a year and a half. It was reportedly her first gig as a teacher. Clifton was on a run "fleeing" the charges and law enforcement to refrain from an arrest warrant and was living in Texas at her parents' house before she was arrested last week. 

According to the court document, allegations against Clifton arose on December 7, 2023, when a fellow student of the survivor reported the crime to the school's resource officer who immediately notified the incident to the police department of the state. The witness then met with the law enforcement department officials and showed them photographs of the survivor's back full of scratches that he claimed were from Clifton's nails and alleged that the two were once having sex in his home's driveway. 

The witness and the classmate of the survivor also claimed that the recently divorced teacher is a mother of two and had allegedly divorced due to this illicit relationship.

When questioned by the investigators on December 8, 2023, Clifton denied allegations of having sexual relationships with any of the students. The police confiscated her phone after the issued warrant granting investigators a permit to go through her phone text messages exchanged between the student and the teacher revealed their relationship. 

On January 3, when detectives went to confront the educator, it was revealed she had left her house in Missouri on December 23 and went to visit her family in Texas. The accused was arrested on Friday and was booked under the charges of first-degree endangering child welfare, statutory rape of second-degree, fourth-degree child molestation, and having a sexual relationship with a student. 

In the shocking twist in the case, another witness revealed that they were often put on "lookouts" for the student and teacher to have sex during school hours and when they told the teenager's father about the disturbing wrongdoings he told them he was aware of his son's "sexual relationship" with the teacher. 

The witness said that when the father was told about the information they came forward with, he replied, "They might do it behind my back, so I may as well let it happen." The witness also alleged that the teen's father told him that he would lie if he had to for his son.

The prosecutors alleged that the father instead of reporting the incident to the authorities continued covering up for his son and even allowed the teacher to come over to his house to meet his son. The accused father was arrested and booked on a $50,000 bond.
