UK Father-Daughter Duo Co-Pilot Commercial Jet For The First Time

Most of us at some point in our childhood would have gone to our father’s workplace, sat at his desk, used his devices, and indulged in pretend plays. However, not all of us end up picking the same career or getting the opportunity to work alongside our father. But, sometimes, dreams do come true if we work for them.

Here’s a father-daughter duo who flew the United Kingdom’s commercial jet together. Brian Morgan and Becky Morgan, a father-daughter duo hailing from Colchester, England, recently piloted a commercial jet together for the first time.

Both the father and daughter work at the British low-cost leisure airline Jet2.com, fulfilling their long-anticipated dream of flying together from London Stansted to Tenerife.

Brian Morgan has been an experienced pilot with Jet2.com since 2016. He was recently promoted to the rank of captain after finishing his command upgrade. His daughter, Becky Mogan, has especially drawn great inspiration from him.

Inspired by her father’s passion for flying, Becky shared that it was her dream to follow in his footsteps. She turned her long-standing dream into reality by successfully completing the airline’s rigorous pilot apprentice programme.

Becky Morgan joined Jet2.com as a second officer, beginning her aviation career. Since then, she has embarked on over 170 flights to numerous destinations across Europe. Speaking to the BBC, Brian Morgan shared that it would be fantastic to recreate the memory and fly into the sky together, not just as father and daughter but as colleagues.

The historic flight witnessed the father-and-daughter duo co-piloting the flight for the first time. Captain Brain Morgan described the day as "momentous". It marked an unforgettable experience and a significant milestone in both the personal and professional lives of the Morgans.
