Tulsi Gabbard, a former United States Presidential candidate announced her exit from the Democratic Party. She described the party as an “elitist cabal of warmongers”.
Tulsi Gabbard in a video posted on her social media account announced her resignation. Gabbard said, “I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.”
Gabbard claimed that the members of the party “divide us by racialising every issue” and accused them of stoking “anti-white racism”. She attacked the party for its conventions and also called on her fellow Democrats to leave the party and join her.

Further slamming Democratics in the video, she voiced, "Democratic Party actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution, are hostile to people of faith and spirituality, demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, are dragging us ever closer to nuclear war."
"I believe in a government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite", added Gabbard.
The politician has been a member of the party for over 20 years. By her announcement and allegations, she ended her journey with the party. Although Gabbard has not revealed any plans concerning her new political prospects or intentions to join the Republican Party as of now.
Tulsi Gabbard, an Indian-American became the first Hindu lawmaker in the US Congress to run for the presidential post.
The politician grew up in Hawaii and at the age of 21 ran for Hawai Statehouse. Earlier, she was not politically affiliated in any way and stayed a Democrat for the last 20 years.
Tulsi Gabbard has a history of operating in a war zone. She served in a field medical unit of the Hawaii Army National Guard in a combat zone in Iraq (2004) and Kuwait (2008) for a year each.
