Natalie Portman Praises Chris Hemsworth For Leaving Meat For Thor Kiss Scene

In the recent Marvel feature, the fans were excited to watch Thor and Jane reunite after a long time. While speaking in an interview, Natalie Portman revealed about the Thor: Love and Thunder kiss scene between her and Chris Hemsworth.

Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth shared the big screen again as the two paired together in Thor: Love and Thunder. Fans rejoiced as the two reunited as lovers in the film, however, with a tragic end. The fourth installment of Marvel's Thor film series was much anticipated since the audience was keen to find out what will happen to the Odinson after Asgard was destroyed and he went away with the Guardians of the Galaxy at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

Earlier, in an interview, Portman, who plays Jane Foster aka Mighty Thor in the film, revealed a detail about her co-star Chris Hemsworth and praised him for being considerate. She mentioned that Hemsworth did not eat meat on the day they had to shoot the Thor: Love and Thunder kiss scene since she is a vegan. She further praised the actor for being so thoughtful towards her given that Hemsworth is quite a fan of meat.

She quoted, "The day we had a kiss scene he didn’t eat meat that morning because I’m vegan. And he eats meat like every half hour. Like, that was so thoughtful. That’s not something I’m angry about or care about, but he was just being thoughtful. He’s just a very nice person."

Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie in the film, also lauded the actor for his thoughtfulness towards Portman's diet saying, "I didn’t even know he could go without eating meat. He’s just like eating bison in the morning. That’s so sweet."

Natalie Portman reprised her role as Jane Foster in Thor: Love and Thunder. Earlier, she had refused to work with Marvel anymore, leaving the franchise over replacement of the director post Thor: The Dark World. Reportedly, Portman agreed to come back for Love and Thunder after director Taika Waititi personally convinced her. The film also stars Christian Bale as Gorr, the God Butcher, whose performance was highly lauded by the audience. Thor: Love and Thunder released on July 7, 2022.
