One of US television's popular reality shows 'The Bachelor' has teased its loyal audience worldwide for a specific series featuring senior citizens. Well, after years of anticipation, the series has now got a green light and it's all set to premiere soon.
'It's never too late to fall in love' reads The Golden Bachelor's promotional video prior to the television premiere of the dating show that is exclusively for older citizens.
The Golden Bachelor Release
'The Bachelor' which has majorly featured individuals in their 20s and 30s, is now bringing a change to television. While the idea of 'love never retiring' should have always been welcomed, the scrutiny and hesitation around showcasing elderly romance across television screens always prevailed. Whether it's Western cinema or the Asian film industry, perspectives are changing, and for good.
The reality show's effort into bringing this idea of elders dating fearlessly is being lauded by the viewers. While the show's suitors are yet to be announced, the title ' The Golden Bachelor' was revealed recently by the Bachelor Nation. ABC described the series as a chance for Boomers to take another chance at love.
With the older folk, the show is set to show years of experience at love, heartbreak and second chances at love through the lives of the women participating. As ABC announced in its press release, the women will arrive at the mansion with a lifetime of experience. They have lived through love and loss and now hope for a new chapter full of hope and endless possibilities.
The show will premiere on Monday nights at 10 PM followed by Bachelor In Paradise on Tuesday nights.
