What is Taylor Swift Copyright Lawsuit all about?

- Author Teresa La Dart slapped Swift with a more than one million dollars copyright lawsuit.

- La Dart alleged that the singer copied her 2010 self-published book of poetry titled Lover for the 2019 Lover album.

- The complainant accused Fearless artist of plagiarising her tome of poems, anecdotes, and photos.

- The lawsuit mentions that a Swift team member saw La Dart’s book and decided to use the book’s vibe and design, as per Page Six report

- Further complaint reflected that both book and song have similar aesthetics including the title and the theme. La Dart questioned the coincidence of the songs having a similar colour scheme and style of the images.

- The elements of La Dart’s book that she claims Swift spoofed had cover page with pastel pinks and blues and images of the author photographed in a downward pose.

- The content of both is a recollection of past years memorialised in a combination of written and pictorial components.

- Swift is also involved in another copyright lawsuit with her song Shake it off. Songwriter Sean Hall and Nathan Butler slammed Swift with a Copyright lawsuit in 2017, claiming Swift borrowed lyrics from the 2001 tune Playas Gon Play

- The 2017 suit was dismissed, but later on appeal, the case was reopened. Swift denied all the allegations in the deposition. She also claimed she never heard of the song or came across the CD.
