Suborno Bari, a 12-year-old boy who recently graduated from his high school, Malverne High School in Malverne, New York has made numerous headlines. His highly intelligent persona and academic trajectory have stunned many.
Suborno managed to skip classes 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th. His sharp and curious mind was noticed quickly by his teachers and parents and was given due attention. He created history by becoming the youngest student to graduate from Malverne High School yet he never faced any difficulty in his social life. Suborno mentioned how his peers and friends have always supported and encouraged his curious mind. His parents and teachers have been extremely mindful of his overall development and curated a schedule for him.
This would entail Suborno taking morning classes at an 8th-grade level in middle school studying core subjects and then in the afternoon going to 5th grade and spending time doing class activities with his peers. His friends treated him the same as any other kid in the school and was never seen differently because of his brilliantly curious mind.
12-Year-Old Goes to NYU
Suborno has already locked his University and from the spring session, he will be commencing his college classes in New York University with a double major in maths and physics. He also mentioned the reason for his choosing these streams, "Many people are doing it only because their parents said so or because engineers just make the most profit, not because they actually love what they’re doing. So I hope to fix that and help other people understand maths and science and love it in all its beauty."

His parents wanted to ensure that he was as socially and emotionally active as he was intellectually. For them, this was a priority. The director of K-12 school counselling at Malverne Union Free School District, Rebbeca Gottesman mentioned her first interaction with Suborno and how after her 2-decade long career she had never seen anyone like him.
She said to ABC's Good Morning America, "Every year, school counsellors are asked on behalf of the students that are applying to these colleges to answer the question, ‘Is this one of the most exceptional students that you’ve ever seen in your career?’ … and I can say without any doubt that Suborno is the most exceptional student I’ve ever met academically. He’s really a prodigy."
With exceptional mind and talents, he has scored 1500 in the SAT, 34 on the ACT and has taken 5 AP classes making him ready for college.
