In a horrifying incident that unfolded recently, a 28-year-old woman, Clarisa Burgos, lost her life in an attack in Queens, New York. The assailants, captured in a chilling video, ambushed the vehicle she was in, leaving the young mother dead and the male driver, aged 39, wounded.

The incident occurred near 127th Street and Liberty Avenue in Richmond Hill, where Burgos was sitting in the front passenger seat of a black Honda sedan. The assailants, three armed men, approached the vehicle with a calculated plan. As per reports, the driver, also injured in the attack, tried to escape, but Burgos succumbed to a fatal shot to the head.

A Family Left in Grief

Burgos, a 28-year-old woman, was described as someone who had been raised with love by her family.

Her aunt expressed the family's shock and sorrow, saying, “We’ve raised her in a good way, with love. God knows what has happened to her.”

The young mother left behind a four-year-old son, adding another layer of tragedy to the incident.

The Video Evidence

The shocking incident was captured on video, revealing the cold-blooded nature of the attack. The footage shows two men, dressed in dark clothes, approaching the vehicle from one side, while a third man casually walks by on the sidewalk. Suddenly, one of the men draws a gun and fires multiple shots into the driver’s side window. Another assailant, positioned behind him, also opens fire. Despite being wounded, the driver attempts to speed away. The third suspect, previously walking on the sidewalk, moves in front of the car and fires shots through the front windshield and the driver’s side window.

Following the attack, the driver managed to reach the NYPD’s 103rd precinct station house, located 2.5 miles from the crime scene, shortly after midnight. He reported the incident, stating that both he and Burgos had been shot. The driver sustained about six gunshot wounds to the torso and was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition. Tragically, Clarisa Burgos was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ongoing Investigation

As of Wednesday, December 27, no arrests had been made, and the motive behind the attack remained unclear. Authorities had not provided any updates on the case, leaving the circumstances of how Burgos was connected to the driver still shrouded in mystery.
