After several hours of searching, the little girl was found sleeping by the authorities, using the smaller dog as a pillow. Lieutenant Mark Giannunzio said the girl was sleeping using one of the dogs as a pillow while the other dog lay right next to her and kept her safe. “It’s a really remarkable story, he added.

The girl, identified as Thea Chase, was reported missing in Faithorn at around 8 p.m. on September 20, according to People. The authorities found her at about midnight, three miles away from her home, by a local riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) with her two pet dogs.

The lieutenant said the little girl was checked by the medics and was found to be healthy.

A Michigan State Police public information officer told the People that the small dog was a cocker spaniel while the bigger dog was a rottweiler who was in “guardian mode.”

Protective Four-legged Brothers

In May, a TikTok video showing how a pack of family dogs were protective over the youngest member of the family went viral. The clip posted by a user named @them8iveddogfather showed four dogs lying on the driveway. When the youngest daughter of the house ran out of the house, the dogs followed her to ensure her safety. The user told Newsweek that his dogs have been trained to protect the family.
