The video of the incident has gone viral on the micro-blogging platform X. What led to the altercation and assault is unknown but Kaye is seen walking out after the assault, distressed, with his beige-coloured coat stained with a liquid, apparently thrown at him.

The video shows that the incident created a commotion with people criticising Kaye. They called him an "a**hole" and a "horrible person."However, Kaye defended himself saying, "She f****ng threw s**t at me”.

Details of the incident revealed by the video

After watching the video, it seems it has been shared by the woman herself who is urging people to find the "man". And then it was reposted by another user @hellosami with a caption, "So why did your managing director Jonathan Kaye punch a black woman at Brooklyn Pride yesterday?"

The video is embedded with a text which further reveals that Kaye broke the woman's nose and "busted up" her friend's arms.

The video has gone so far that it landed on the company's feeds. The company responded to the video and said, "We have become aware that one of our employees was involved in a serious incident in Brooklyn on June 8. We take this matter very seriously and are conducting an investigation."

How did the netizens react to the incident?

The netizens are divided on their opinions about the incident. Some are calling the assault a product of racism, and some of gender inequality while others are demanding the full video to show what happened to Kay and what led to the altercation.

A user wrote, "we have to stop letting white men walk away from committing violence like this bc it teaches other white men they can act this way too."

Another wrote, "Ew how do people let these guys walk away from stuff like this 😭, are words supposed to hurt his feelings?? Do him like he did her"

A third user said, "Whatever happened before that never could justify a man punching a woman like that."

Other users who demanded the entire context of the video said that it was carefully edited without showing the reason for Kay's court's stain.

One user said, "Funny how the video starts less than a second before the hit and doesn't show anything leading up."

Another wrote, "self defense I presume since the video was edited."

A third user said, "Where’s the rest of the video, before we pass judgment. Although, there is almost no reason for a man hitting a woman is ok. Maybe we should see the entire thing first. And he will be arrested now and this will be investigated."
