United States President Joe Biden’s dating advice to a teenage girl went viral and netizens have described the incident as “creepy”.

The 79-year-old gave unsolicited dating advice to the young girl while standing in a large crowd. A photo opportunity session was going on and Biden was standing behind the teenager. Biden grabbed the teenager by the shoulder and said, “Now, very important, I told my daughters and granddaughters, no serious guys till your 30s”.

Journalist Kalen D’Almeida took the video and shared it on social media. He wrote that the teenage girl “looks back appearing uncomfortable”. The journalist also added that the secret service tried to stop him from filming after Biden spoke at the Irvine Valley Community College.

The secret service can be seen asking D’Almeida to stop recording. The teenage girl replied to the advice and said, “Okay, I will keep that in mind”.

In further tweets, D’Almeida informed that he took the video of himself with President Biden after his speech during a meet and greet and photo opportunity session.

Reportedly, the incident took place as Biden posed for photographs after he delivered remarks about the government’s plans to curb inflation and reduce drug costs on October 14.

Netizens dubbed the incident as “creepy” and “inappropriate”. The video was posted on October 15. It quickly went viral on social media and was viewed more than 5.5 million times in two days. The video was almost retweeted 17,000 times and received almost 5,000 quote tweets.

A user contemplated whether the Secret Service was present to protect Biden or his reputation. Another noted the handler who was “trying to get the guy (D’Almeida) to stop recording…”

One user wrote, “Beyond not okay… she’s clearly uncomfortable, and that’s just inappropriate for anyone in that kind of position to even joke about.”

Another stated, “Gross. As he inappropriately put his hands on her shoulders and pulls her closer to deliver a creepy message.”

The viral video divided netizens as several described it as creepy, while others said the teenage girl was not uncomfortable.
