How did the two meet?
Josh and Jordana met at a sound meditation retreat in February 2022, he told The New York Times on Friday. He said he heard a voice inside his head that said, “That’s her. That’s your woman.” The pair began calling and texting each other as soon as the retreat ended.
“We were constantly in touch, sharing things we had written and things we had made. Thoughts, feelings, insights,” Josh recalled.
In a previous interview, the actor disclosed to Page Six that he was content in his current relationship. However, during the same conversation, he expressed reservations about marriage. He admitted to being fearful of the prospect of a problematic marriage, with spouses in constant conflict. He found a certain relief in portraying such dynamics in a fictional context. He suggested that perhaps enacting such scenarios on screen might alleviate the need to navigate similar challenges in real life.
The original and highly successful series How I Met Your Mother enjoyed a nine-season run from 2005 to 2014. The show featured Josh Radnor in the lead role as the genuine romantic Ted Mosby, recounting his life story. Neil Patrick Harris portrayed the womaniser Barney Stinson, while Cobie Smulders played the role of the quirky newsreader Robin Scherbatsky.
Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan portrayed the deeply in love couple, Marshal Ericson and Lily Aldrin. Bob Saget provided the voiceover for an older version of Ted Mosby's character, narrating the series. The central group of friends frequently gathered at MacLaren's Pub, navigating through life's ups and downs while Ted Mosby searched for "the one."
