Why Is Taylor Swift's New Wax Statue In Germany Making Swifties Unhappy?

Taylor Swift is undeniably the most influential pop star who has enthralled generations for a long time now. Swift continues to make outstanding waves with her Eras Tour and also through her famous record-breaking album The Tortured Poets Department.

The singer added another feather to all the milestones achieved until she got a new wax figure at the Panoptikum Wax Museum in Hamburg, Germany. According to Billboard, the wax statue dedicated to Swift was inspired by her 2019 iHeart Radio Music Awards look.

Interestingly, as much as it is an occurrence that should have made her fans happy at the top of the world, it has done the complete opposite.

Why are Fans calling it 'Saylor Twift'?

Hence, in the viral video shared by the museum, Swift’s wax statue can be seen adorned with a sparkling sky-blue playsuit. The wax figure also features a heart gesture made with hands, which Swift has been doing onstage for years now. Swifties pointed out that the singer does the symbol with all her fingers tucked in, however, the statue’s fingers are all out.

Moreover, Taylor Swift's wax statue at Germany’s oldest wax museum did not sit well with millions of her fans, who reacted to the viral video, calling out the museum. “So it’s certainly not easy to recreate someone out of wax and there’s a lot of work involved, so respect that they did it. However, it doesn’t look like Taylor. The face is somehow different, she also wears red lipstick and makes the heart with her whole hand rather than with just four of them. It’s just Ashley,” a fan wrote.

Another fan commented, “Darling, it’s a daydream dressed like a nightmare.” A third fan reacted, “Taylor should sue them!! It’s terrible.” Likewise, comments like, "Saylor Twift,” have gathered attention worldwide depicting the disappointment Swifties hold in their hearts regarding the statue.

Earlier, Madame Tussauds’ Dubai location unveiled a wax clone of the singer dressed in the look she sported at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards. Before that, Madame Tussauds London displayed a wax figure inspired by her Shake It Off music video.
