The list also includes Deepika Padukone, who holds the second position, followed by Disha Patani in fourth place. Director Nag Ashwin is ranked seventh, with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan securing the eighth, fifteenth, and nineteenth positions, respectively.

Earlier, Deepika Padukone emerged as the highest-paid actress of 2024. She has surpassed Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to top the list. Unfortunately, the list does not feature any South Indian actresses.

According to another list compiled by Forbes with the help of IMDb, Padukone is the highest-paid actress in India for 2024, commanding fees between Rs 15 crores and Rs 30 crores per movie. Following her is actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, who charges Rs 15 crore to Rs 27 crore per movie. Priyanka Chopra Jonas is third on the list, reportedly charging Rs 15 crore to Rs 25 crore per movie.

Katrina Kaif takes the fourth spot, with the Tiger 3 star said to charge Rs 15 crore to Rs 25 crore per movie. Alia Bhatt follows in fifth place, allegedly asking for Rs 10 crore to Rs 20 crore per film.

Other actresses on the list include Kareena Kapoor Khan, who reportedly charges Rs 8 crores to Rs 18 crores per movie; Shraddha Kapoor, who allegedly charges Rs 7 crores to Rs 15 crores per film; and Vidya Balan, who is believed to be paid Rs 8 crores to Rs 14 crores per film.

Earlier, Padukone was honoured by the international publication Deadline for her significant contributions to the entertainment industry. She stands alongside international stars including Eva Longoria, Uma Thurman and Lee Sung Jin. Padukone has been the only Indian star featured on the Global Disruptors List, earning the title "India's Surprise Superstar."
