Directed by Greta Gerwig, the film Barbie is a satirical take on the patriarchy and women’s place in society. The film features Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in significant roles as Barbie and Ken.
Barbie Trailer
Fatigued from the lavish pink world of beach blowouts and synchronised dance parties in Barbie Land, our heroine is forced to think about the end. Watch the trailer ">here.
Strange things begin to happen, for instance, Barbie's heels are no longer arched, sending the other dolls (also named as Barbie) into a tizzy. So she enlists the help of Kate McKinnon's Barbie, who instructs her to go to the "real world" to discover "the truth about the universe." Unbeknownst to her, Ken has snuck into the backseat. Soon enough, the two wind up in trouble, with both of them getting arrested.
While on Venice Beach, Barbie punches a man who slaps her butt, and she and Ken end up at the police station. Meanwhile, people in the real world are starting to freak out that a real-life Barbie is walking the streets of Los Angeles.
