TikTok viral couple Alexandra Madison and Jon Bouffard are in the process of grieving the loss of their unborn child, whom they lost to a miscarriage in June. Alexandra had been carrying their son, Leo, for six months before the incident occurred. The couple is showing us that everyone has their own healing process, as some use humour for the same.

Who are they?

Alexandra and Jon became famous on TikTok by making humorous videos and skits as a couple, with more than 2 million followers both on TikTok and Instagram.

They first announced their pregnancy back in March and then revealed the sex of the baby in an Instagram post a month later, showing the couple eating a cake with blue frosting.

''It’s a BOY! 💙 Almost halfway there until we meet our little man!'' Alexandra wrote in the caption.

The couple continued to make TikToks about parenthood and pregnancy.

Then, in the last week of June, the couple was around 6 months pregnant when they announced the loss of baby Leo due to miscarriage, leaving their followers, friends, and family heartbroken.

''We are absolutely devastated to share the news that we lost our sweet baby boy this week. There are no words that can truly capture the depth of this pain. Nothing can prepare you for this. Our hearts will never be the same,'' they wrote.

The influencer couple is still in the process of grieving their loss, but they believe that everyone has their own grieving process.

In an interview with TODAY.com, they said, “We had an entire healing process on our own and we didn’t want to come across as insensitive or that we didn’t care, because what we experienced was traumatic, heavy, and sad. When we started feeling moments of joy and happiness again, we almost felt guilty ... but there’s no right or wrong way to grieve.”

Taking their words to heart, the couple has continued to make funny TikToks. In a particularly humourous skit that has received millions of views since it was posted in July, Alexandra and Jon's resignation from DINKS (Dual Income No Kids) is denied.

DINKS represents a fictional office comprising of working couples with no children.

The TikTok shows the couple walking into the DINKS office and being angry at them for rejecting the resignation application. The video was captioned, ''We don't handle rejection very well here.''

The video was a sequel to another DINKS-related TikTok they made before the miscarriage, where they were seen handing in their resignation from the demographic.

Alexandra wrote in the caption, ''This post is a small part of that journey, a reminder that it’s okay to give ourselves and each other permission to laugh again.''

The couple is also writing and will act in a short film about their experience. To be released in 2025, the film is called ''The Shower''.

“Hearing stories from other couples who walked through this before really helped me feel less alone. If we can do that for someone else, that’s all that matters,” Madison told TODAY.
