Screenwriter, Actor, First Lady: All About Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Wife Olena Zelenska

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's wife Olena Zelenska is a screenwriter by profession and also one of the most influential Ukrainians in the world. The First Lady of Ukraine is known to have brought nutrition reforms in the schools of the country.

Ukraine is currently in the middle of a war with world power Russia and the internet is daily being updated on the situation of the people there. Facing the political turmoil in his country, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is often seen addressing and assuring his people, the one person that is standing strong with him and constantly supporting him is his wife, Olena Zelenska. The couple has stated that they are the target of Russia but this hasn't stopped the First Lady or the President from doing their duty as the leaders of the nation.

Who Is Olena Zelenska, Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Wife?

Olena Zelenska was born on February 6, 1978 in the largest city of Ukraine, Kryvyi Rih. She is an alumni of Kryvyi Rih National University who studied architecture at the university's Faculty of Civil Engineering. She works as a scriptwriter for the production company Kvartal 95. She got married to Zelenskyy in 2003 who was then an actor and the founder of the production house she worked for. Actually when the couple first met in 1995, Olena was dating someone else.

Olena has always been a shy person and hence, remained mostly away from cameras and limelight in contrast to her husband, who was always out there. She gave birth to two children, a daughter in 2004 and a son in 2013. In 2018 when Volodymyr put forward his idea of standing for the President candidacy before her, Olena strongly opposed it as it would bring her directly into limelight. However, Zelenskky tried hard to keep her away from political matters.

In 2019, she became the First Lady of Ukraine and the initially opposed Olena decided to improve the condition of nutrition provided in Ukrainian schools. An since then, Volodymyr Zelenskyy's wife was seen coming to the front and addressing the world at various national and international conferences. She has initiated many programs like that of spreading the knowledge of Ukrainian language in the world and creating a barrier free society. Her Kyiv Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen that was held in 2021 was based on "Soft power in new reality".

Currently, the President and his family are living in an unknown safe place but are updating the world and encouraging their people through their social media. Olena addressed people through her social media and told them that instead of panicking and fearing, she is calm and confident as she stands with her husband, country and kids. She has also launched a Telegram channel devoted to provide verified information to public about the situation, evacuation, communication and to extend psychological support to them.
