There have been many incidents of AI tools being used by many people to chat with their online dating partners, many people find the idea to be innovative or do not seem to mind it, but this Bengaluru woman shared her frustration of a sour date who used AI to chat with her but in reality he was nothing like on chats and in fact "dull in person."

Bengaluru Woman Shares Her Date Used AI To Impress: Very Dull In Real

The woman who goes by the name @hustlegurrl on Reddit shared her dating experience as she was chatting online with a guy in Bengaluru. She described that talking to this man online seemed "really funny and was super entertaining." But later to her disappointment, the man was completely different from her online persona.

We all are excited when it comes to meeting new people, but this woman's excitement fizzled out when the person who seemed "funny and entertaining" on chats was "really dull and uninteresting" in real life. The woman described how this man could hardly speak a sentence and clarified that it was not that the guy was shy or awkward, rather it was the opposite of that as he was extremely confident and extroverted.

The woman described the date she was "really looking forward to" was taken aback when "all that language and wit disappeared" describing it as "so weird" as there was a huge gap in this man's online persona and real-life persona.

The date took a surprising turn when the topic of Banglore startups and the use of AI tools came up. As the two were having drinks, the woman shared her date extensively speaking about using AI tools in his work and even critically slipped revealing that he used AI "even in his chats" before quickly changing the topic.

This offhand remark made everything click for this woman as she realised that her date's witty and funny online persona was completely fabricated by AI!

The post that is now viral has sparked online discussion as one Redditor sympathised with the woman commenting: "That sounds really frustrating and disappointing. It's disappointing when someone doesn't match up to the expectations they set during online conversations. It must have been disheartening to find out that the witty and engaging persona was mostly AI-generated."

Another Redditor added: "I just realised we are probably soon gonna have people get catfished by bots and taken on dates by androids posing as real humans."

Earlier, a Russian man credited ChatGPT, an AI tool with finding him "the one", while a Chinese woman turned to AI for love. Another Spanish artist became the first woman to marry an AI-generated hologram, while there are many cases of humans seeking intimate bonds with AI.

The story of this Bengaluru woman has sparked debates as many emphasised on importance of genuine connection in dating, while others debated the effectiveness of AI-generated chat for building real relationships.

However, the lone incident of @@hustlegurrl raises questions about growing use of AI in online interactions and potential for deception it can hold. AI can indeed be a helpful tool for streamlining communications but its use for crafting an unauthentic online persona can be concerning.
