Athletics
Gold
Gomathi Marimuthu - Women’s 800m
Gomathi Marimuthu gave India its first gold medal in the women’s 800m race.
She clocked a personal best time of 2 minute 02.70 seconds in the half mile event to win a surprise gold for India. Gomathi was racing for the third time, having finished seventh in the Asian Championships in 2013 and fourth in 2015. She secured her berth during a confirmatory trial in Patiala where she was paced by quartermiler MR Poovamma.
PU Chitra - Women’s 1500m
Kerala athlete PU Chitra bagged gold for India in the women’s 1500m race at the Asian Athletics Championships in Doha. Her came in 4 minutes 14.56 seconds on the concluding day of the championships.
"I had become a little nervous towards the end being next to the Bahraini runner (Gashaw Tigest). She had beat me to third place in the Asian Games. I had to really push hard in the end," Chitra told IANS after the race.
Silver
Annu Rani - Women’s Javelin
The 26-year-old current national record holder secured the top spot with a throw of 60.22 metres.
Swapna Barman - Women’s Heptathlon
Swapna Barman won a silver medal in the women’s Heptathlon after scoring a season-best 5993 points.
4x400m Women’s Relay
The 4x400m women’s relay, saw the team of Prachi, MR Poovamma, Saritaben Gayakwad and VK Vismaya bag silver medal.

Bronze
MR Poovamma - Women’s 400m
MR Poovamma won the bronze medal in women’s 400m in Doha, clocking 53.21 seconds.
Parul Chaudhary - Women’s 5000m
Parul Chaudhary who won a bronze in the women’s 5000m event with a timing of 15:36.03 seconds.
Saritaben Gayakwad - Women’s 400m Hurdles
Saritaben Gayakwad won bronze in the women’s 400m hurdles with a timing of 57.22 seconds.
Sanjivani Jadhav - Women’s 10000m
Sanjivani Jadhav won a bronze medal in the women’s 10000m race with a personal best timing of 32:44.96.
Dutee Chand - Women’s 200m
Dutee Chand clocked a season-best 23.24 seconds in the women’s 200m final on her way to the bronze medal.
Boxing

Pooja Rani beat world champion Wang Lina in the 81kg final to win India's second gold medal in the tournament.
Simranjit Kaur bagged a silver medal while Nikhat Zareen (51kg), Manisha Moun (54kg), Sonia Chahal (57kg) won bronze medals.
Wrestling
Rio Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik and Asian Games champion Vinesh Phogat won a bronze medal in the Asian Wrestling Championships on Friday.
