For Priya Kataria, girl power is a starting point, not an end in itself. The Associate Vice President of Customer Relations at Indigo Airlines, Kataria is a believer of equal opportunities for both sexes. “It’s about empowerment, independence, promoting positive behaviour with enhanced decision making skills." Kataria has been with the airline since its inception and loves her job. She is a keen planner and strategist, and is particularly driven by the airline's focus on women's safety. She shares the airline has more than 45% women in its workforce and nearly 25% in its leadership.

She is a hands-on single mother and recently ran a 10km marathon as part of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padao campaign. Poorvi Gupta catches up with Priya Kataria at her office in Gurgaon.
