After images of their daughter Vamika were taken at a cricket stadium, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli issued a statement. Anushka claimed she was taken aback and had no idea the camera was focused on her and Vamika.
Anushka and Virat have already requested the paparazzi and the media refrain from publishing photographs of their daughter. They wanted to offer their child privacy and do whatever they can to provide her with the opportunity to live a life free of media and social media. Responding to the publication’s now-deleted Instagram post, Anushka Sharma commented, “Seems like times group knows what’s better for kids than their parents themselves as they can’t stop clicking and posting photos despite being requested repeatedly. Learn something from other media houses and paparazzi."
Vamika Pictures Yet Again Make Headlines Without Parents' Consent
"Hi, guys!" Anushka posted on Instagram Stories the following day. She said that they were aware that photographs of their daughter were taken at the stadium yesterday and widely circulated afterwards. She also said that they would like to let everyone know that they were taken off guard and had no idea the camera was trained on them. On this issue, her position remains unchanged. She further added that they would greatly appreciate it if Vamika's photographs were not clicked or published for the reasons stated previously. On his Instagram Stories, Virat expressed the same sentiment.

Anushka's followers defended her online and requested for Vamika's images to be taken down. She and her daughter were watching the Indian cricket team play South Africa in Cape Town when the match's official broadcaster panned the camera to the stands, revealing them clapping for Virat Kohli. For the first time, Vamika's face was shown.
The pursuit of high-ranking celebrities' personal lives has sparked numerous concerns about invasion of privacy and media rights issues in the entertainment business. For as long as there have been famous people, one of the consequences of celebrities has been that their lives are visible and open to public examination, whether they like it or not. Celebrities are continuously disrespected in terms of consent, to the point where their privacy is violated. When it comes to this type of invasion, some of these pushy photographers are even crossing the line illegally.
In the past, and to date, regardless of what a vehicle can provide, the improved performance of the camera, which includes a greater resolution, video capability, and voice control, allows the paparazzi to photograph celebrities more easily and clearly. Taking images from a car used to be tough, but as camera technology has advanced, paparazzi can now follow celebrities in almost any place to take their photos. Nothing can stop technology from progressing, thus if celebrities have been exposed to the dangers of paparazzi operations as a result of increased camera performance, is there need for a major intervention?
Collecting personal information without the person's consent is a serious breach of privacy. When it comes to celebrities' right to privacy as a basic human right, however, the general public and news organisations behave like paparazzi and seem unconcerned. The general public nowadays despises firms that acquire personal information about individuals under the pretense of providing better services. Most intriguingly, according to Media Ethics, the public's want to know what these public personalities do in their spare time (a desire that newspaper gossip satisfies) should not be dismissed as ethically insignificant. Because they do not consider other people's feelings, the public focuses on their interests.
Celebrities, like everyone else, require privacy. Everyone has some experiences or facts in their lives that they or their loved ones should keep private. Intruding too much into the life of celebrities upsets them. Celebrities, like ordinary people, would not prefer to have their privacy invaded to gain renown. Although, at the start of their careers, these celebrities hire people who are responsible for publicising them and making them well-known figures in the public eye. That is at least done by choice.
