Jennifer Aniston David Schwimmer Dating: First it was Ben and Jen, and now tabloids tell us that David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston, famed "Ross and Rachel" from the cult comedy show FRIENDS, are dating each other. Schwimmer and Aniston had revealed in a recent reunion episode of the sitcom that there were sparks between them while filming the show, but nothing happened. Imagine fancying someone decades ago, or dating them only to call it quits, and then feeling that the person or relationship deserves a second chance. Is that a good idea?
According to news reports, Schwimmer and Aniston have been spending more time together, after filming of FRIENDS reunion episode with their other co-stars. "After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they'd always had to bury was still there," revealed a source close to the couple. While Schiwmmer's representative has said that the news about his romance with Aniston is not true, it comes as fans continue to fawn over another popular couple from the same decade that has reunited and has forced us to address some complex relationship questions ourselves.
Pictures of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck holding hands, kissing each other, holidaying together or grabbing a meal with each other's kids have confirmed the news that they are yet to break. The couple initially began dating in 2002 and got eventually got engaged, only to call it off in 2004.
Ben and Jen or Jennifer and David aren't the only ones to contemplate giving a bygone crush or relationship another chance to flourish. We all have such dangerous thoughts at some point in our lives, don't we? In moments of weakness, we choose to overlook questions like why did we call it off in the first place? Or why did it fail to go beyond a certain point? We simply think, what if we can do it better this time? Besides, we are not the same people today that we were years or decades ago. Maybe our mature versions can handle this relationship's hiccups better.
Having said that, a romantic reunion of sorts doesn't seem like a good idea, if your relationship carried a messy baggage piled high with unresolved issues. How does one get over a broken engagement? Or a bitter breakup? Perhaps Lopez and Affleck can share their path to healing. Whenever they choose to do so, we will all be listening.
Despite what some may say, there are no laws applicable to love and attraction. If you feel like giving a relationship a second chance, then what certainly shouldn't hold you back is the fear of being judged by others. Life is too short to not grab a promising prospect, and leave it at a "what if..."
