To bust these myths and help young girls claim their right to education, Whisper India has started "Period Of Pride" campaign, that aims to bring conversations around menstrual hygiene management to the fore. One key feature of this initiative is that it intends to bring boy in to the conversation.

As sons, brothers, friends and future partners, it is important that boy are educated about periods and the stigmas and stereotypes that women have to unfairly deal with because of their gender. What better place to start this conversation than our classrooms? Why isn't period and menstrual hygiene management be taught to boys and girls in schools? What are we doing to change these dynamics.

Period of Pride campaign raises these question along with a call to action, and several noted social media influencers have joined the cause. From Journalist-turned-blogger Shubhreet Kaur, body-positivity blogger Neelakshi, to lifestyle blogger and cancer survivor Pooja Kawatra and style coach Aiana Jain, here's how these social media influencers are helping break stereotypes around menstruation.
