For the first time, Wimbledon 2021 finals has a female umpire. Marija Cicak chairs the men's singles final. On July 10, the All England Club confirmed that the 43-year-old will oversee Sunday's match between five-time champion Novak Djokovic and Matteo Barrettini. Previously, Cicak has worked at 15 successive Wimbledons among other major Tennis events which earned her a decade long experience.

The Wimbledon 2021 men’s singles final takes place at Centre Court of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, England.
Here's what we know about Marija Cicak the first ever woman to umpire Wimbledon Men's final:
-Marija Cicak, who hails from Croatia, has earlier worked in the Olympics in Athens, London, and Rio in the year 2016.
-Before taking the umpire’s chair, she excelled in almost all of her athletic pursuits, and continued as a tennis player in her youth.
-She earned her first officiating certification to work at national events at age a young age of 15.
-In 2007, she earned promotion to a silver badge and then went to become a member of a joint officiating team between the ATP Tour, ITF and WTA beginning in 2009.
-She has been a WTA gold badge umpire for the past eight years and has officiated some of the biggest matches in the sport.
-In 2014, Cicak umpired the Wimbledon women’s final between Petra Kvitova and Eugenie Bouchard and the women’s doubles final in the year 2017.
-Along with Eva Asderaki-Moore, she made history in 2015 during the final weekend of the US Open by taking charge of the women’s and men’s singles finals at the tournament for the first time.
