In March 2020, Devi was conferred with the Nari Shakti Puraskar by Ram Nath Kovind for her efforts to make women self-sufficient. Moreover, she also helped farmers practice organic farming.

- Bina Devi is popularly called 'Mushroom Mahila' for her contribution towards making Mushroom cultivation a business method for women.
- Devi comes from a small place called Tilkari in Munger, Bihar. She also became the sarpanch of Dhouri panchayat.
- She was determined to capitalise on Mushroom cultivation. Thus, she took training from Sabour Agriculture University, Bhagalpur in 2010.
- She was among the seven women who handled Prime Minister Narendra Modi's social media accounts on Women's day.
- Bina Devi has generated self-employment among rural women. She has further engaged many women in dairy farming and goat farming.
- Devi believes that everything comes from one's will. She says, “Everything can be achieved by will. My real recognition came from cultivating one kilo of mushrooms under the bed. This not only made me self-sufficient but gave a new life by increasing my confidence," Patna Beats reported.
