At the age of 15, she developed a disease called Pulmonary Fibrosis which is a hardening of the lung which happens to be a side-effect of the transplant. Her lung capacity was 35% in 2014 and later on, kept on decreasing. She died on 24th January 2015. She said, "Death is the ultimate truth, but I want to be happy and I choose to have happy pulmonary fibrosis."

This all started when I suggested that she should start writing her thoughts down and she said 'why' who is anyways going to read them. Later on, I gave her a book called 'Notes to Myself' by Hugh Prather and told her that it sold a million copies and she said "I can write better than Hugh Prather" and look what was the result of it. Her first book which is much more than a book.

"The more she suffered the more determined she became," said Aditi. Aisha is truly a role model she chose to live life on her own terms even after sickness. Not a lot of people have the strength or the will to do it. Aisha had a short life but lived big, traveled all the places she wanted to see and did all she wanted to do. Although she is no more but in our hearts, she will live forever.
