Meet Anisha Padukone, Professional Golf Player And Deepika Padukone's Sister

Anisha Padukone the professional golf players recently tested positive for COVID-19 along with her parents.

Her father and former badminton player, Prakash Padukone was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru and is currently recovering. His friend and director of Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, Vimal Kumar told PTI that he is fine now and will hopefully be discharged from the hospital this week.

According to Vimal Kumar, Anisha Padukone and her mother Ujjala Padukone decided to self-isolate at home.

• Anisha Padukone was born on February 2, 1991, in Bangaluru. Earlier, she has spoken about the strong connection she has with her hometown.
• Born to a famous badminton player Prakash Padukone, Anisha decided to choose golf as her career at the tender age of 12.
• She soon became one of the top players in the amateur category and represented India on international platforms.
• Padukone made her pro debut in 2017. In an interview, she talked about her ambition of playing the Ladies Professional Golf Association league but then she changed her mind and focussed on achieving smaller goals.
• In 2015, actor Deepika Padukone launched her mental health foundation named Live Love Laugh in which Anisha Padukone was made the CEO. According to the official website of the foundation, Anisha Padukone has played an "instrumental role" in the initiatives of the foundation since she joined it in 2016.
• Padukone is also a member of the Global Future Council for Mental Health of the World Economic Forum.
• She has a graduate degree in economics, sociology and psychology.
• Padukone has also done Strategic Non-profit Management India Course from Harvard Business School and Ashoka University.
• She was also her sister's caregiver when the Bollywood actor suffered from depression.
• Currently, she manages her work at the Live Love Laugh Foundation along with her career as a professional golf player.
