It showcases Saina Nehwal's journey towards becoming one of the world's top badminton players. Actor Parineeti Chopra was praised for portraying the badminton player to the best of her ability. Even Nehwal's father Harvir Singh Nehwal had something to say about the film. “Saina has been Commonwealth Gold Medallist which no other player has achieved so far. So the movie seems apt for an athlete who has given so much to the country. Saina deserves a biopic and I am glad she is getting one," he said.

Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal has cruised into the semifinal round of the French tournament Orleans Masters 2021. She defeated American badminton player Iris Wang 21-19, 17-21, 21-19 in just 60 minutes in the quarterfinal round of the tournament.
Apart from Saina, Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy defeated the British duo Chloe Birch and Lauren Smith 21-14, 21-18 in 42 minutes in the quarterfinal round of the women's doubles. Ponnappa and Reddy will now have to face Thailand's Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai in their upcoming semifinal match on Saturday.
In the mixed doubles match, Dhruv Kapila and Ashwini Ponnappa defeated England's Max Flynn and Jessica Pugh 21-13, 21-18 in 29 minutes to grab a spot in the semifinals.
