Zomato Delivery Boy Refutes Woman’s Charge, Says She Hit Her Nose With Her Own Ring

Zomato Delivery Boy: Bengaluru woman Hitesha Chandranee accused a Zomato delivery boy of assaulting and injuring her in an Instagram video. The accused delivery executive, Kamaraj was suspended and refutes the allegations made by the woman.

“She was very rude from the outset,” said Kamaraj. He says Chandranee kept on insisting that the order has to be delivered within 45-50 minutes." According to Kamaraj, the Chandranee verbally abused him and then hit him with a chappal. Kamaraj told The News Minute that he apologised for the late delivery and explained that he was delayed due to traffic and bad roads.

The Zomato delivery boy added that “I am working on this job for more than two years and this is the first time that I have had to go through this kind of an ordeal.” According to Kamaraj, Chandranee took the food but refused to pay for the order. The Zomato support told Kamaraj that they cancelled the order from their end as per her request, thus he asked her to return the food but she did not cooperate.

The report added, that Kamaraj decided to leave the apartment building without taking her food but “She started using expletives in Hindi. She suddenly threw slippers at me and started hitting me. For my safety, when she was hitting me, I tried to use my hand to shield her blows.”

Kamaraj stated that when she tried pushing his hand away, she accidentally hit herself on her nose with her finger ring. He was questioned by the police for two hours and has to pay 25,000 rupees for the legal expenses.
